Zero Tolerance Towards Ragging

At Vasudev Educational Group, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for every student. Ragging in any form—whether physical, verbal, psychological, or online—is strictly prohibited and is considered a serious violation of institutional discipline.

The Anti Ragging Committee has been constituted in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bar Council of India (BCI), and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to prevent ragging, promote awareness, and ensure immediate action against any reported incident.

Objectives

Maintain a ragging-free campus environment.
Promote mutual respect, equality, and healthy interaction among students.
Create awareness regarding anti-ragging laws and institutional policies.
Encourage students to report ragging without fear.
Ensure prompt inquiry and strict disciplinary action against offenders.

Responsibilities of the Committee

Monitor the campus to prevent ragging in any form.
Conduct awareness programs, orientation sessions, and anti-ragging campaigns.
Receive and investigate complaints related to ragging.
Take immediate action in accordance with UGC, BCI, PCI, and institutional regulations.
Recommend disciplinary measures against individuals found guilty.
Maintain confidentiality and protect the identity of complainants.

What Constitutes Ragging?

Ragging includes, but is not limited to:

- Physical or mental harassment.
- Verbal abuse, bullying, or intimidation.
- Humiliating or embarrassing acts.
- Forcing students to perform unwanted activities.
- Threatening, blackmailing, or discriminating against juniors.
- Online or social media harassment related to ragging.

Reporting a Complaint

Students who experience or witness any incident of ragging are encouraged to report it immediately to the Anti Ragging Committee. Every complaint will be treated with confidentiality and investigated promptly. The institution assures that no student reporting an incident will face retaliation.
