Overview

Bachelor of Operation Theatre Technology (B.O.TT.) is an undergraduate program focused on rehabilitating patients with physical, mental, or cognitive challenges. The course trains students to help patients regain independence in their daily activities, using therapeutic methods and assistive technologies.

  • Curriculum Focus: The course provides in-depth knowledge of medical sciences related to anaesthesia and operation theatre procedures. 
  • Practical Skills: Students develop essential technical and psychomotor skills, including setting up surgical equipment, preparing the OT, and monitoring patients. 
  • Sterilization and Disinfection: A significant part of the training involves mastering the processes for sterilizing surgical instruments and maintaining a sterile environment in the OT. 
  • Patient Care: Graduates are trained in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care, including responding to emergencies. 
  • Assisting Medical Staff: The program prepares students to effectively assist surgeons and anaesthesiologists during surgical procedures and anesthesia induction
Duration: Typically a 3 Year Degree with 6 Months internship.

Eligibility: You must have completed 10+2 with a science stream, typically with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects.
