Dr. Nidhi Kandpal obtained her Ph.D.  from Kumaon University, Nainital in 2017. She has consistently demonstrated academic excellence throughout her educational journey. She was the University Topper and Gold Medalist in M.A. (Political Science) from M.J.P. Rohilkhand University in 2005, and also secured the top position in B.A. (Political Science, Sociology) from the same university in 2003.  Her research interests focus on local self-governance, women empowerment, and political structures in India, with special emphasis on Uttarakhand. Over the years, she has contributed to the field through impactful publications in reputed journals. She has published 03 articles in Shodh Prerak, Indian Stream Research Journal, and Shodh Pravah. Dr. Kandpal’s academic journey reflects her dedication to research, teaching, and advancing knowledge in political science, particularly in the domains of local governance and empowerment studies.
